Grey's Anatomy

I caught the first episode of Grey's Anatomy tonight. And I've fallen hard for Ellen Pompeo who plays the cute surgical intern, Dr. Meredith Grey.

Judging from the first episode, the series looks promising. The cast is strong with Sandra Oh as a driven and ambitious fellow intern, Patrick Dempsey as Grey's romantic interest (not to mention her superior) and Katherine Heigl as an intern that was a former model.

The characters are pretty human and pleasantly flawed, the script is crisp and realistic (without being overtly soppy as American series can be) and the camera angles and scene shots, are pretty fresh and sticks in your mind.

Looking at the cute Dr. Meredith Grey made me think to myself - how come I've never dated a cute doctor before? Heh!

Time to get sick!! ;)

Haha! You have no idea how TV keeps me sane nowadays. I have nothing and no one else, aside from work - hence, the time for TV. ;)

No intention of becoming full-time. But I do dream of becoming a part-time jazz loung singer ala Michael Buble. ;) I'm great at singing old songs! :)

Dinzie:

Thanks for the dating tips. Now, you're freaking me out so much, I'm reconsidering number 4. ;)

And oiiiii, RELAX-lah. It's JUST a dinner with friends. I'm really just looking to have fun with friends, old and new.

Not looking for anything, not hoping for anything. Am too tired, to do so. Plus, I'm still in recovery stage from that last episode,...

I know you and TTG wanna play good-intentioned fairy God-mothers, to my rather colourful and tragic love life - but can we please CHILL on this?

You're not fairies, I'm not Cinderella (or Prince Charming) and I've been a pumpkin all my life, not just when the clock strikes 12. ;)

Let's just have fun at dinner 2moro, k? :)

p.s. Poor boys can't afford Tod handbags. Maybe when I become Datuk Stingray in 15 years time and chase after a young and pretty starlet,...;)

So did I! So did I! Catch it, I mean. However while I think Dr Grey's character is interesting, she reminds me too much of Ally McBeal and I do not like Ally McBeal! And Ray, I am adding No. 7 to Dinz's list ... HAVE AN OPEN MIND!!

Dr Grey is nothing like Ally McBeal. She's not zany - just attractive, warm, soft, strong, bright and yet, with a delicious slice of confusion and vulnerability.

God, I think I just described my kinda girl! Haha!

Shud:

Sorry, did I tell you about "Kau Ilhamku"?

But doesn't look like my dream of becoming a lounge singer (or even a wedding singer, unless it's my own) will come true. :)

But there's always karaoke to keep dying hopes alive! ;)

It's just a dinner with friends. It's not a date. But thanks for the kind thought. :)

TTG:

Ok. See you guys, there. I'll just be dressed normally - like I'm going out to dinner with friends. :)

All this eagerness for new handbags gives a whole new meaning to the phrase - It's the TODS that counts. ;)

That's why it is important, in the absence of little children, people usually rear pets like dogs and cats to channel their inability to display affection. In the strangest way, to indirectly share their love to their family member.

Kan!

I think kalau I bela kucing, it would be so depressed from my Barry Manilow collection that it would jump off the 17th floor!

Then, I'd be inciting "cat-icide". Hehehe. :)

But I take your point. But the only animal that I can keep that takes care after itself, is a Playboy bunny.

Hehe!

Yeah, tell me about it. Both my brother and sister-in-law, used to serve as Government doctors and they used to keep ridiculous hours. And they always seemed constantly broke.

Their first 2 children grew up in my house, under the care of my late Mum.

Only the years after that, in private medical practice that brought them comfortable five-figure incomes and more cars than drivers, in the house.

On another note, yes, there's something about doctors or some of them who end up in the profession.

My pet sis, Sue - who is married now (and my first crush since I was 6 years old up till the time I was 15 and the person whom pretty much formed what I think is attractive in a woman) is a doctor.

And she's got a personality that could light up a room! :)

I have a 2nd cousin too, who looks exactly like a Malay version of Dr. Meredith Grey.

She's yummy, personable and so refined in behaviour, but we don't marry cousins in this family - otherwise, I would have given it a shot. ;)

But yeah, it would have been nice to have tried dating a doctor,...thanks for the Mak Ayam thots! ;)
