American Idol - The Final 12

American Idol's final 12 has been chosen. And they almost got it ALL right, this time.

Ayla Brown's elimination was utterly heartbreaking. The girl is a complete package - confidence, strong vocals, has plenty of style, strikingly attractive and shows an ability to sing a diverse range of songs. And she's only 17.

But SMS democracy had its way and Ayla Brown was eliminated - probably, due to poor song choice - it didn't give her sufficient leverage for the "wow factor". She cried. My heart went out to her. She loved singing and it showed. As someone who loves to sing, I can certainly empathise.

Perhaps, she may know that she wasn't the best - but she certainly expected to make the top 12. And I guess, so did a lot of people.

But I hope she doesn't give up on singing. She has the profile of a star and she should never quit on making it happen. I think she'll be an absolute success, one day - it's just a matter of time.

But the final 12 is here. My bet for the top 3 is on vocal supremo Mandisa, the most talented 16-year old Lisa Tucker and the vivacious and extremely talented Katherine McPhee.

Let's see whether America will get it right, this time.

Ok stop merajuk sat to give a rational point of view on this.

It's a stage where in every single show, everyone needs to exceed their best to catch the voters' hearts and SMS. Ayla was good but unfortunately Good is not good enough.

Personally I agree with you that Mandisa and Lisa Tucker should be among the final 3. Katherine...well, ok, maybe. But have to give a space to one of the guys too, yes? Kinda fun watching that over-confident Gideon struts his stuff. Huhu.

Sorry, laaaa. Subscribe la to Astro - macam-macam adaaaaaa,...

But sorry, on Ayla's elimination, it was certainly not a rational outcome, dear. She's deinitely good enough.

There were others that are not in the same class, who are in the top 12.

For the guys, Chris or Elliot would be my pick, to bet on the top 3.

It's a matter of whether they can "out-versatile" some of the top girls like Mandisa, Lisa and Katherine.

I will start blogging about Akademi Fantasia too, once it starts! ;)

I expected Gideon not to make it. American Idol has always been a bit a looks-biased - people who don't have the whole package, are not likely to survive.

And I think that sinister smile, led to Gideon's downfall! ;)

Want to subscribe since forever, tapi big boss of the house says No..tunggu la I ada rumah sendiri nanti...hehehe.

On second thought, when I watch the performance in 8tv...you're right la. Ayla's not the best but she's definitely not the worst among the ladies. Sigh. Nak wat camne..
