The Joy of Good Things

She passed her exams today and she's now a full-fledged surgeon. :)

It's all the more special, because it's been a nerve-wracking day for her and she had a feeling that she was going to fail. There's no sweeter triumph than to be wrong, on that count.

I'm so happy for her and so proud of her - no words come close to describing it. I hear the sheer joy in her voice and I want more of good things for her - because she truly deserves it. Sometimes, good girls do win and can have it all.

And I remember saying a silent prayer - that I hope I deserve her. And if I'm not there yet, may God help me, along every step of the way.

I have no idea why her heart is with me - but I'm counting my blessings, that it is. Neither of us know, how we got here - but we're happy. There's a part of me that's afraid to hope - but certainly not afraid to live through this with her.

These are the moments that one should live for - simple, sincere, reciprocal, giving, uncomplicated and almost to a great extent, unconditional.

It's like we're passengers, in a car with Fate in the driving seat - and enjoying every moment, every shred of joy, of that drive. It's probably better than anything we could have possibly planned, on our own.

InsyaAllah - all will be well.

By the way, she's HOT! She's way, way, WAY superior than those opportunistic girls who were just using you as emotional cushion.

With "advisors" like you - how can I fail? ;D

Ervan:

Indeed. Trust technology to make it even smaller, in future. :)

Babu:

Suffice to say that she makes me happy. :) Very happy.

Decent people with intelligence, clarity of thought, principles, commitment and tenderness are hard to come by, nowadays.

In that way - I'm blessed this time - there's much about her that I do respect and admire.

And yes, InsyaAllah - things will work this time. :)

That makes 2 of us, June,...that makes 2 of us.

No one wants to live on repeated and recycled hopes of success, in matters of the heart.

Berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu memikul.

Fate is not something we can force - even with unlimited love - at best, it can only be persuaded.

Nowadays, quitters and cynical people look much smarter - simply because not trying, means not failing. Ever.

I can only hope and pray, that this time - I will be the chosen one.

I truly want to be good enough for her.

Is she a politician's daughter?

Are you still going on holiday with me and have suicidal thoughts as we stare out to the sea?

Who's going to buka puasa emosi with me now?!

Jokes aside now sweetheart, very happy with this new development.

Make sure you've got your seatbelts on, love.

Fate's known to be quite a driver ;)

No, she's not, dear. That's a habit I've kicked for my own sanity. ;D

Holiday with suicidal thoughts a bit susah - considering that I'm quite happy now. ;D

As for buka puasa emosi - I never got the impression you started fasting, dear. ;) When did this happen? Hehehehe.

Good advice on the seatbelts. I'm persuading Fate to drive properly this time - I'm done being a crash dummy! :D

Hey..

Told u before about the silver linings & signs of good things to come ;)

Am so happy 4u.Nothing makes the world go round than pure love.Instead of worrying too much on where this relationship is going,i think u should just live in the moment and let fate steer u on, as u mentioned.

Everybody deserves to be happy, and its good to know that good guys & girls dont have to come last.So here's hoping there'll be more happy entries to come frm u?:)

Thanks, dear. :)

I am happy. The worry if anything comes from repeated experiences of being disappointed, in the past.

There's only so much emotional stamina and "bounce-backs" that an old bachelor can take, before he throws in the towel, know what I mean?

Don't know about more happy entries - but you will definitely have a happier blogger. :)

I've retired after the photo with the lovely Datuk S. :D (My girlfriend is SO going to bury me for this remark,..haha!)

Sorry I had to delete your remarks - some things are meant to remain vague.

But to answer your question, no, it's not who you think it is.

Ray, bro', I am happy to hear that it is not the person I mentioned. I would both be surprised and disappointed if it were. He is held in high regard, and his staff are in awe of him. I am also glad that, according to your latest post, the problems have been resolved.

Babu:

No, it's not him - the friendship and respect between me and him, go beyond any internal or external crisis.

And that's hard to find - friendships like that - when it can go beyond the disagreeing, screaming and bickering.

But everything is confronted upfront - and no one doubts that what is said is for what's best for the organization - it's not personal.

Most Asians (including Malaysians) are not like that. They don't confront issues or people - generally, they think it's rude to do so.

Truth be told - even I, am still in awe of that man, not just him employees.

As a leader with courage, he is head and shoulders above others.
